What is whitelisting?
A whitelist is a list or register of those that have been granted access to our private shard server. Pre-screening our player base helps us keep control of our hacker-free environment. The entire process has been set up to be completely painless. Below are detailed instructions that will help guide you through this experience as quickly as possible.
Why would I want to be whitelisted?
By becoming whitelisted, you’re no longer subjected to the public shard that is riddled with hackers, exploiters, and run-of-the-mill baddies. Why spend two hours getting geared up only to get crumbed-off by a lowly hacker? Why possess any skill at all when someone can ghost in behind you? Server hopping puts players back into PvP mode much too fast. A major part of the DayZ experience is surviving the environment. DayZ is about interaction, not loot.
